APREVI is Alianza para Prevenir, Erradicar y Eliminar Toda Forma de Violencia Intrafamiliar, a Guatemalan nongovernmental organisation. EQUILIBRIUM works with APREVI from a shared conviction: responding to harm is essential, but understanding its causes helps prevent it from recurring.
Law can do more than respond to a crisis. Explaining rights, making guidance accessible and identifying routes to protection can strengthen social support. This relationship seeks to bring that knowledge closer to people and connect prevention with a responsible institutional response.
When someone faces immediate risk, their protection comes first. Work on underlying causes must support that protection, never delay it.
